A Donald Ross designed 18 hole championship golf course
Donald Ross was born in Dornach, Scotland, November 23, 1872. He is the is the architect of Western Golf & Country Club's exquisite 18 hole course -- our pride and joy!
Ross designed more than 400 U.S. courses, and while he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on - National championships continue to be played on courses that he designed, and clubs across the United States continually seek to preserve his legacy. WGCC is one of those clubs.
To this day, our Grounds Superintendent and his team honor Ross' classical design heritage and work diligently to maintain the beautiful and competitive course he built for us in 1926.
